Default CAT AND EXHAUST IDEAS ON A 2.8

I need to replace one of my cats because its rattling like mad.
Looking for some ideas or replacing one or both cats
Maybe replacing my 2 into one exhaust to either the 2 pipe exhaust from a 4.2 or custom exhaust?

My local German Indy has replacement cats he just welds back in - simple $250 fix!
You'll probably find the 4.2 exhaust will only be compatible from the Cats back (assuming it has the usual twin offset pipes coming from the twin cats), and may be larger diameter (2.25" vs 2"). A bit of custom work may be required to make it fit.

I wonder if its the left Cat that's rattling? This is a common failure point on B5 V6 exhausts!

I probably throw a couple of universal cats in. I say an audi tt set of cats also that measure up the same.
It was the left cat that started the rattle but then the right and so I tried the hammer treatment and I must of nocked a bit off and can hear it at the end of the cat

Ha!
I think the usual backyard fix is a couple of screws in the base of the Cat to jam the core against the top!
