Coolant Leak.
So I was driving home and stopped to fuel up and noticed the smell of anti-freeze coming from the vehicle. I looked around and no visible coolant. I then shrugged it off and went home. I got the light on the dash, and got in the driveway. I opened the hood and saw that the reservoir was almost empty. I waited to see what happened, and I saw smoke coming from it. I removed it the following morning and ordered a new. Surprisingly, I also noticed a few drops on the passenger side. I forgot to mention that it has the basic crappy coolant. Do I flush it out before putting in the G12? Would I just disconnect the hose from the radiator?

You need to find the leak first and fix it ...THEN flush it correctly, before adding G-12.
No, you do not simply pull the radiator hoses. If you're gonna do this yourself, you cannot just wing it, you need a Bentley manual.
Otherwise, just get a loan and take it to a qualified mechanic.
If the leak is at the oil cooler (passenger's side) , then it's a little $20 cooler pipe that a dealer will charge up to $1000 to replace .... or, if you're qualified, do it yourself ... NOT easy.

You need to properly flush the cooling system before adding G12.
Simply removing the bottom hose will leave a small amount of water in the block as the thermostat at the top of the hose is near the top of the 'V' just below the heads - there is a block drain pipe attached to the side of the sump (oil pan).
There will also still be coolant in the heater cores (x 2) which are not the easiest to flush.
The Bentley manual is the only workshop manual available for the D2. Fortunately it is very comprehensive with step by step detail on nearly all repairs you will want to do.
Requires Win XP or an emulator.
