Default Crank Sensor/Motor Diagram

Is there anywhere I can get a diagram/picture of the motor for a 1998 Audi A8. I need to replace the crank sensor and need a diagram to follow. Audi dealer wants too much to replace. Absurd. ANY direction or help is appreciated!

When I replaced the one on my 98, the hardest part was fishing up the wires to the plug.

The plug is on the backside of the engine, on the Left side. (Drivers side.) It's in a bracket, just pop it loose, unplug the plug but then you have a wire retainer of some sort. (Could not see it, but it was there absolutely.) There is a heat shield that the wire runs behind to keep the exhaust manifold/downpipe heat away.

If I ever do it again, I'm going to get a small mirror, and see if I can figure out the retaining clip. I ended up using a zip tie, and some thermal wrap around the wire, and tied it to the others near it, away from the hot stuff.

It's just one bolt, and it's no big deal, but routing the wires is a PITA if you have large hands, and limited space to work. (I did it in my driveway.)

A lift, and better light might have helped.

Good luck.
