2001 S8

Hey D2 Owners,

I'm in need of new front struts for my S8. Does anyone have a recommendation on brand? I'm currently looking at SACHS PN#556293 (RockAuto) but I am concerned that maybe they are not the right fit for the S8 based off a cross reference with a different online vendor (FPC) that shows Sachs is compatible with the A8, not the S8.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Correct part # is 4D0 413 031 CD , if that helps.

The Sachs at Rock are OEM A8 fronts ... too soft for S8 springs ... car will bounce.

Look for springs fitted to AYS (S8 engine) cars .... Bilsteins are the most likely to find ... no other brands are considered suited to S8 springs ... only total front suspension swaps and all lower quality than OEM S8 stuff.

Look at bottom shock here ... should be a perfect match >>>
