Heater Core Leak?

Heater Core Leak?
My wife noticed water on passenger side floor board. (see pic)
It is leaking from up inside dash.
An inspection of the coolant reservoir revealed an amount of coolant missing (almost empty) that matched the liquid volume on the floor board.
Heater Core leak?
I pray not. Please tell me it's something less painful as I understand that requires removing dash, steering wheel, etc.
This was probably the first time the heater had been used in over 6 months. California car.
Anyone have any ideas?

When i had a heater core leak on my semi truck it had a valve that you can close and stop coolant from entering h core.I was able to drive like that with no prob.
I dont know if audi has that valve.

A/C drain cloged or Cowl flooded?
Check the cowl area under the hood for water. When it floods water pours down through the ductwork and this box gets wet. Happened to me many years ago.
