HID headlight code? Check voltage/sensor through VAG-COM?
Gents,
Got a headlight indicator light on the good old S8 on Friday. Hooked up VAG-COM and erased the code. Headilight indicator came back on this moring so I again hooked up VAG-COM this morning and got the following:
Tuesday,02,September,2014,09:11:18:45521
VCDS Version: Release 12.12.2 (x64)
Address 55: Xenon Range Labels: 4B0-907-357-DYN.lbl
Control Module Part Number: 4B0 907 357 C
Component and/or Version: dynamische LWR D05
Software Coding: 00001
Work Shop Code: WSC 00000
VCID: 2851057EC842CA5EF37-4B32
1 Fault Found:
00776 - Level Control System Sensor; Left Front (G78)
28-10 - Short to Plus - Intermittent
Ran output test on the actual control motors and you could hear the motors raise and lower. With that said, one can assume that the headlight motors are fine.
Has anyone had issues with these sensors going bad? I had the car jacked up pretty far checking suspension parts so I wasnt sure if maybe it hyper extended or something.
Havent checked to see if the arm disconnected from the sensor yet.
I am relatively new to VAG-COM. Is there a way I can use VAG-COM to look at voltage outputs to the level sensor on drivers side front?
Can this be done through the measuring blocks?
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!
Chris

Found the issue gents. Front level sensor arm came off lower a arm bracket. Looks like bushing is worn. Anyone have a used level sensor arm?
