I just wanted to introduce myself to this forum. My name is Alex and I just bought my d2 a8 on Saturday. Since then I've been digging my way through the forum finding out about problems/getting a bentley and vagcom/look for how to's.

I was wondering if anyone has heard of a problem with the speedometer not working in first gear. The gauge doesn't move until it shifts in to second. I did a quick search and didn't really find anything that would explain this phenomenon. As soon as it stops raining outside I also need to figure out why my parking brake isn't working.
Feel free to throw some knowledge my way and/or berate me for not using the search function thoroughly.
