Default Low Windshield Washer fluid symbol in dash malfunction

Anyone dealing with this? The resevoir is full, yet the animated windshield washer fluid low sumbol still dances in the dash display instead of the radio info.

The archives mentioned VAG-Com which I did and which did nothing. I'm prety sure it's the sensor... maybe it's stuck? Is there a way to access this unit?

Thanks, Ed

Default Yeah me too. I've been lazy. From what alwaysovercharged told me, you have to remove the front

bumper to access it.

Default I'm having the same issue, only have to remove the drivers side fender liner. .. but

Must have a resistance value as nasioc troubleshooting didn't work. I guess I need a new sensor. .

check the connector because you might find that one of the wires pulls out easily... great spot for corrosion

Also, since it wasn't mentioned, the level sensor is incorporated into the pump. The pump itself doesn't cost a lot from places like FCPeuro, otherwise you can snip the sensor signal wire (you'll have to do some searching for which one, there are 3 there) to be rid of the warning. Word of caution, if you snip the sensor wire, you'll no longer know when your fluid is low.
