Default 2002 A8 Hub Relacment

Changing the front brakes on my A8, broke off one wheel bolt and others in the hub are close to being stripped. How big of a job to pull the front hubs off? any special tools needed

Thanks

Paul

I believe you can buy a new wheel bearing and hub assembly complete. The assembly bolts on from the inside. You will need to pull the half-shaft and at least one control arm to release the bottom of the strut so you can get the tools in to release the four bolts (triple=square?).

Through Audi they will be pricey; probably 200 or more for each hub and each bearing.

If you pull the rear lower control arm the half shaft will come out at full steering lock. To remove the bearing you will a triple square bit.
