I have some really crappy Hankook tires on the car right now and they are pretty noisy. You shouldn't be able to hear them too bad. The car is very quiet unless someone removed the sound deading from the doors during a window regulator change. If they did you will have to fabricate new ones from scratch as Audi no longer stocks those pieces. I used carpet padding and sealed it with clear packing tape. I was lucky to still have one factory panel to use as a template.
