Default Random Connector Help

I've been trying to sort out a few issues on my 2000 S8 40v and after taking off the bumper found that there is a random connector on the drivers side. It s a 3 pin connector with blue/brown, yellow/brown, brown wires. This might explain some random problems after a visit to the body shop but cant find anywhere for it to go. Anybody got any ideas?

Picture below.

I don't have my Bentley handy, but that could be the connection to the electric radiator fan thermal switch on the radiator, near or on the lower coolant hose connection on that side.

Ive searched high and low but couldn't see anything. If you got time would you be able to double check your Bentley to see where the location is? Really appreciate your help. This might also explain why it was overheating yesterday. It was the first hot day I've been out in it since a few years ago.

Yeah l agree w/ silverd2. I had the same random cable when l swapped motors. I'm pretty sure the connection to the radiator was behind something, l couldn't directly see it; had to feel around within range of the cable length and found it.

Well was going to give up looking for the hidden connector when I looked down the back of the rad and from a certain angle saw the green connector with no plug attached. I then spent 25 minutes trying to squeeze my hands through to fit it back. Lots of knuckle skin later, it's on and working again. What a good do! Thanks so much guys. I would never have found this without your help.
