Default S8,25mm H&R spacers all around,pics

Strange i didnt know the front will be wider than back because it looked that the gap at the front is larger at the back.
I think ill probably get smaller ones for the front 15mm or 20mm?
If anyone has smaller ones to trade pm me.These are brand new

The front track is 1591mm, rear is 1580mm. If you do 25mm on the rear (1580+25*2=1630), you'd need 20mm spacers on the front (1591+20*2=1631) to get them close to dead even.

You're still off by a mm, but I imagine you could live with that

Thats a precious information,thank you!
I think ill go with 15mm then it will look equally flush front and back.
If i go with 20mm front will look more out which i dont want.

Just one (and Audi engineers') opinion, but have you considered that the front track is wider for good reason (cornering traction/weight distribution, tracking, balance, etc, etc..)? ..and it has nothing to do with mere appearance.

But, I guess if it has a pleasing "stance" (* shiver *), then millions in research and development don't really matter, huh? ...after all, nobody actually drives these cars, right?

Cheers

That's pretty funny, to refer to any D2 as a "sports car" ...hilarious actually & incorrect.

A D2 in any trim or any degree of mods is still a 2-ton, 4-door luxury car ... nice cars and fun to drive, but nothing akin to a sports car.

Go drive a Porsche (NOT a Cayenne) , just to remind yourself what a sports car actually is.

Cheers

I'm sure at Autobahn speeds, that extra 11mm of front track width means something with regards to stability. Does it at normal, 2-digit US speeds? Who knows?! Probably not.

Either way, spacers will increase stability (wider track), but of course wear harder on suspension and wheel bearings. Do I like the look? Hell yes. We run 25mm on the rear on our race car and handling is dramatically different (improved). The front end was widened as well, but not by spacers.

Some people on here go for the staggered look with the rear tires (and thus rear track) wider than the fronts. At least you're keeping everything flush.

1st, anyone who's been here for a while knows that I'm all about function over appearance ... I love quality machinery that performs a purpose: Driving is that purpose. 99% of my interaction with my car is inside of it...outside is to do maintenance and repair...plus things that actually make a difference, like blowing out the wheel wells (suspension parts) with a water hose often during winter months and treating all rubber suspension parts with AT205 every time I have a wheel off..but NOT the tires, which are perishable items that are gone WAY before the rubber starts to deteriorate.

I bought my D2 because of what it is ...NOT what it looks like...there are a plethora of better "looking" cars out there. The only mod I "made" was, once I decided on a FL SWB A8, I found one in the color combo I wanted.

2nd, wider front track has only a little to do with tracking and high-speed stability...the MAIN reason for this design (on most all cars) is to maintain best (and correct) geometry and traction/tracking during ANY turn at ANY speed.

...and :

"STAGGERED" on an AWD luxo-boat !?? Really!? ...Oh God!! ...don't get me started. That is whole nuther silly ghetto cartoon on a car that already has plenty of understeer.

To each their own. My "own" is design and driving pleasure, from the driver's seat ... not the audience.

Cheers
