S8 reluctant to change up.
I have an S8 that appears to be revving too high. Almost like it's in Sport mode when it's in 'D'. I can force it into gear 5 by using the Tiptronic, but in 'D' mode it won't always go into 5th even though I'm cruising at 60mph on level ground. It's like it has a very aggressive shift pattern.
It might be my imagination but it seemed after the car warmed up and I had been driving for 30 minutes or so it got slightly better. It's not that it won't go into 5th gear, it's just that it takes an awful lot of babying to make it shift up. Anyone experience this?

Is your brake pedal sticking partially down? If it detects the brakes are on (via the brake pedal switch) you get this weird low power mode where it re-maps the throttle but not the shift points
