Default S8 Transmission dead afer rebuild

Last month my transmission was not engaging first gear to move on it was going on limp mode but the reverse was ok so I did a rebuild for the trans and the TC . last weekend I managed to pull back the transmission back to the car and ran perfectly until yesterday(3 days after rebuild) afternoon I parked it back to the car after 2 hours. Start the engine No REVERSE NO DRIVE No Tip-tronic and no fault codes either its like you are on neutral. I am willing to keep the car but its getting on my nerves .Did anyone experienced something similar who can help me . My mechanic is saying is either from TC or the transmission Pump. Please Help !

...and the shop did the pump for free, since they botched the rebuild ...right?

This is often caused by a mashed pump due to improper seating of the torque converter upon assembly.

Yeah no way the pump failed on it's own, the shop smooshed it. Easy to do. I hope the whole fix was free.

He charged just the pump price which was 200 $. the total rebuild with a rebuild converter and new oil with all charges cost me around 1800 $
