slight hesitation
Hey guys I have a 2001 audi a8l 4.2. My car has a slight hesitation when leaving a stop. If I give it gas it waits then takes off. Or if I try and slowly give it gas it starts kinda acting like a misfire. Also if I'm driving and then floor it the rpms hit around 2500 and kinda just hangs there and the car slowly accelerates. Any ideas what would cause this? I just replaced: sparkplugs. Fuel filter and fuel pump. Also I have no check engine lights.

Check for vacuum leaks.
Your car is getting to the age where vacuum hoses will be starting to perish - especially the thin walled material covered jobbies that go all over the engine bay.
Buy some decent thicker walled hoses from your local auto shop and go to town!
Also, try giving your MAF a clean with some electrical contact cleaner. You can also buy specific MAF cleaner from auto stores, but at the end of the day it will be an electrical contact cleaner.
