Default Small fuel leak - hose clamps ???

I have a fuel leak on the piece of rubber host that is close to the window fluid filler cap. It appears to be leaking on bother ends. I've trimmed the hose on both ends and put on fuel injection type hose clamps. I'm assuming whoever had the car before did this as a quick fix. Dealer tells me that one has to buy entire fuel line $600 (1/4 of the value of the car!0 and I'm sure the fuel lines use special clamps / crimped connectors not garden hose clamps like the last bloke used.

Perhaps I should try totally new fuel line and I think the clamps are a tad too big 14mm to 16mm it says (hose diameter or something)

Any thoughts - it's a problem that I though I fixed but the left side clamp now seems to be weeping a bit of fuel. The right side clamp (actually a regular hose clamp) leaked and I replaced it the other day with a better type.

Suggestions? (I can live with my oil leak but a fuel leak is nasty and unsafe)

My Audi A8 D2 (4.2) also needs new hoses. A few weeks ago, the smell gave us a heads up. When I was going to the mechanic, the engine went up on fire. Scary!!!!! I was able to extinguish the fire in just 10 secs, so the damage were very small. No wires were burned. My biggest issue now: where to find 7,5 x 14,5 mm hoses? Can I use 8 mm hoses? I’m completely affraid of leaks. I have a reason for that, right? My toy was on fire! Any tips? The car is in Sao Paulo, Brasil. My last try here is to find a hight performance (turbo/tunning) shop that may have some solution. Thanks a lot!!!

double clamping (using 2 hose clamps) usually ensures it won't leak.
