Are These Recaro Seats?
Are These Recaro Seats? I'm trying to figure out why Audi even made these seats as an option for the S8. These are seats on a potential 2002 S8 I'm going to drive up to see this weekend. Not my favorite color interior but the price is decent.

Facelift A8's have a different type that I like better.

My '02 S8 has the Comfort Seats. I would have preferred the sport seats, but everything else about the car was what I wanted, and they are quite comfortable. I see sport sets pop up from time to time online for reasonable $. Thought about it, but not all that much. I do have plans for a carbon fiber trim swap at some point...stand by.

These are the Recaro's:
Large side and thigh bolstering.
Same electric adjustment, lumbar, headrest and heating as the comfort seats.
The front base pad can be extended for additional under thigh support on long trips etc...

Yes, they are.
All D2 seats are made by Recaro. These are the confort seats. Most people refers to the sport seats as Recaros, but they all made by them.

Too bad your comfort seats are so far away in Denver, I'd trade you my sport seats for the comfort ones.. I've owned both, and for me, as a big dude, the narrow lower seat design is no fun on long trips, but it's fun in the corners, and they look cool.
However, the comfort seats work just fine for me in the corners, I always wear my seat belt, and I'm not going to move side to side much anyway.
The 98 I had was much more comfortable on long trips than my 2001 S8, but neither was as comfortable as my 2004 A8L seats.
