Where is this coolant dripping from by my alternator?

Why you'd put a plastic pipe back in is beyond me...
Either the Bufkin or Gruven (aluminium) replacement pipes are much more suitable.

Hmm galvanic corrosion is a good point. I used a brass pipe on mine since the Gruven one isn't easily available in Europe - the only alternative is 'better plastic' from Germany . Now I'm thinking that might not have been such a good idea In theory they are electrically isolated by the o-rings, but if stainless wasn't going to work then brass won't either...

using plastic pipe
I used a new plastic pipe because I needed the car back on the road and the Audi dealer is only a mile away. I also figured that it's taken 14 years for this one to disintegrate and I don't think I'll still have this car in 14 years!
