Hi,

My elderly father has lost the left hand wing mirror on his 1999 D2 S8. I need to replace it for him and as the car is looking a little tired anyway, not really fussed about getting an S8 mirror.

Can anyone confirm if A8 mirrors will fit on a S8 from 1999.

Does anyone have anything for sale from a parting out S8 / A8?

Finally, I have a 2000 S8 update, and my LCD dipping mirrors are failing. Any ideas on replacing the mirrors for these,

Yes it will.
The S series Audi's of that era use a cast alloy housing as a stylistic point of difference, but it's the same mounting as the standard plastic ones.

OK so when I bought the car the PS mirror didn't fold..When you flip the switch to fold the driver mirror folds in but the PS doesn't- you can hear the motor in it spin but the mirror doesn't move...The glass is also no good...the liquid crystal in it has "spilled" out and now has made the mirror dark...almost too dark to see during the day and unusable at night....So I ordered one off ebay from a junk yard and it isnt a power folding mirror even though the listing said it was.. The picture shows my mirror on top and the ebay mirror on the bottom....It is clearly missing pins and I'm guessing its for power fold..All the other listings on ebay also dont have these pins that my origional mirror has..I have asked the sellers about this connector and the pins....people really dont know this car...it really is rare....a blessing and a curse.

edit: the ebay mirror is from a 2001 S8
