How about posting what the scan itself is? Sort of treasure hunt otherwise w/out sharing the underlying diagnostics.

The parts diagrams show that part in some, but it depends on motor on a worldwide basis. If it is somewhere on yours, the parts diagrams for motors where it appears have it back on a vacuum hose near the power brake unit. That would probably put it in the plenum area rather than under hood--or right against firewall if it is where the lines come through the firewall to connect to intake area.

Well, first off you blurred the site info so we can not see where it is that you are confirming compatibility, I can assume that you are going by the EBay ad which states "Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing", and the seller appears to be wrong, I ran that part number that you listed and it is not compatible with a A8L 4.2 N/A gas engine, I do know that I have two of those on my Bentley, BUT it is twin turbo charged, AS MP asked, what are you scanning with, you must use Ross-Tech or VAS, NOT some generic scanner.

Default Misleading thread title due to Shonky generic code reader

He's actually looking for the brake booster pressure/vacuum sensor. That's what the part number ties back to: 036906051C
https://parts.audiusa.com/p/Brake-Fl...36906051C.html

You'll find it along one of the vacuum lines coming off the brake booster/servo. Seems the same part is also used as the boost pressure sensor on turbo motors also.

I agree, mentioning the "Intake" throws a twist is things, BUT I believe he is saying that what ever code he is reading, it calls it the "Intake Pressure Sensor", and I then think he searched and found that part number, the part number he gave does not come up under engine/intake, but does show up under brake system as shown in link as #3, so until the OP shares the scan or actual code we are kind of in the dark, what is also odd is that it shows number 14 which is no longer available, #14 is a electric vacuum pump, and I do not recall having one on my 2004 A8L 4.2, nor do I have one on my 2005 A8L W12 that I know of, but I DO have an electric vacuum pump on the twin turbo W12 Bentley, strange....

I can add that car has a bit of a stumble off the line and bit of a rough idle. Check engine light on. MAF just replaced (its code went away). New air / cabin filter and plugs ready for install.

5. Remove the throttle body and MAP sensor from the intake manifold. If fouled with oil clean them. I cleaned the MAP sensor with carb cleaner and low pressure compressed air to dry. Be gentle.
