Default 2004 A8L Satellite radio installation. Help!

Hi everyone,

I have a 2004 A8L that did not come with a satellite radio receiver unit, so i purchased one on ebay specifically for my model. Now i just want to install it and im having trouble installing and looking for the wires. Im not sure if the wires are already installed or what not. I know its in the drivers side trunk cubby.
Any thoughts of how i can install it or if the wires are pre installed already?

and i guess if the wires are not pre installed ill just have my local Audi dealer install it.

If anyone can help or send me instructions on how i can install this, that would be great! Any help will do

Please see photos attached!

drivers side trunk cubby. upper right ( Audi Navigation). Lower right ( Radio receiver )

MMI. when i press Radio the options are FM,AM and Satellite.

These are the wires you are looking for, they are covered in the foam, where are you located, as I see the "TV" and "NET, every USA model I have seen had the wires preinstalled.

Thanks for getting back!
Im located in Toronto, Canada. This is my second 04 A8L. I remember my previous 04 A8L had the satellite receiver installed already but the MMI buttons were different, it did not say TV. i dont remember what it said before.

Im guessing these wires should be just behind the radio receiver? I did look around and couldnt find any. But illl take another look and let you know!

CD/AUX
NAME
TEL

Just out of curiosity what happens when you press "NET" or "TV", most likely the TV is non functional because of analog tuner, but what about the "NET", where did the vehicle come from if I may ask, also it looks to be a great color, would you post some pics ?

IIRC, when I had my 04 the wires were stuffed up top to the rear by the tail light.

When i press net it goes to the "Onstar". with CD/TV it just goes to CD and with Radio, FM,AM and satellite radio.

I got it from a local dealer in here Canada ( Mississauga ) car was originally from germany of course and shipped to Audi here in sometime in 2003.

Thanks!! Ill post some photos here!

This is what CD/TV does. Obviously no TV here. haha

This is the Radio option. FM,AM,Satellite radio- as you see it is greyed out

Yes, if to be exact!

BUT anyways, I did check for the wiring for the satellite receiver. It is nowhere to be found. i checked where you had mentioned by the tail lights and checked behind the radio receiver and navigation receiver. Looks like ill have to have my local Audi dealer install the wiring!

Thanks a bunch for trying to help me out!
