2004 Audi A8 Bluetooth Help...
Hello i own 2004 Audi A8 has Onstar.. I took the old madual from Driver seat carpet and ordered Bluetooth madual now the new madual came with fiber optic cable and 54 pin connector housing. I want to install that in my trunk, where i have Satellite fiber opetic plug... Now how do i install this, i know i need Mic postive and negtive wires from 42 pin connector, what other wires do i need from 42 pin connector. Also i need 42 pin connector and 54 pin connector wire numbers.. Someone please help, i have only 14 days to check that if Bluetooth madual that i ordered is in working condition after that seller wont take return..

This has been posted NUMEROUS times before. There are numerous threads on this. I am sure there are a lot of people on this list who do not want to see the same things being brought up over and over again. If you want you can start HERE.

ok I was reading this post guy had pictures and everything, also show the chart has onl and new harness pin numbers.. Wonder if that would work for A8. That guys talking about Can Low, Can High, data wire all together they are 10 wires...But Mr Mishar says i only need 5 wires. Negtive, Postive, two Mic wires, and one bluetooh wire which from my understanding is ring control wire...That makes it 5 wires.. neg, postive, ring control wires are already in the trunk. I only need to fish 2 mic wires from 42 pin connector.. Now what should i follow... Wonder using 5 wires my voice control button in steering wheel would work... Please help... If someone can get me the old and new pin NUMBERS that would be awesome... Thank you all in advance...

Sounds like you are almost there.....After installing the coding goes like this:
here is how you enable the hidden menu with VAG COM.
Interfacebox – Controller 7
Adaptation
Channel 8
Change from 0 to 1
After this change, you can bring up the "Current Config" menu by
pressing SETUP+CAR. Scroll to the BOTTOM of this list and you will
see Telephone listed, change it to UHV and save. Note: on my car,
there was another Telephone setting near the top of the list...ignore
that one (because it will not select anyway).
Here are the codes I changed after this:
CAN Gateway
Installed Modules
De-select Telematics
Select Telephone
Recognize Telephone language and voice control
77 – Telephone
Coding changed to 0010970
Disable seat belt warning
17 – Instruments
Coding – Long Coding Helper
Seat belt code changed from 3 to 0
Enable audio mute with Bluetooth phone
07 – Control Head
Coding changed from 0000103 to 0000303
