Also, try a metal polish on the aluminum. Worked great on my Maxima and works wonders on my aluminum motorcycle wheels.
Blue Magic has a nice metal polishing cream, but they all work nice.

Agreed....
The mothers' bar IS too soft, and I've gone on to using a mild polishing compound, only wiped in a linear direction, no circles, that gets the trim strips up nice and clean....

The Blue Magic claybar is better than the Mother's brand. The Mother's clay bar is too soft to do an effective job (IMO). You can find it at Autozone (and other stores).

Hello, new to forum, I have a 06 A8L with about 85,700 miles on it. Just started hearing a low noise from tranny/engine? but only when in gear and goes away when warm up then comes back> No warning lights no nothing. car drives normally although I think it is shifting slower. Just had the very expensive 85K check done. any ideas? Thanks
