Greetings fellow Audi enthusiasts. I am looking at 2007 D2 S8 today. The car has 84k miles.
Can any of your point me in the direction of what to look for as far as reliability issues or concerns please?
Any advice will be thoroughly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and consideration,

There is no such animal as a 2007 D2 S8. Unless it is a kit car or reproduction/one of a kind.
D3, yes.
As the top message in this D3 thread says: "New Posters to this Forum; PLEASE READ THIS".
Well, if you read it you will see that the search function will yield you several threads with the same information you are seeking. Maybe some else here will retype the previous information for you. Until then, you can have your answers in a few minutes. That's why several posters here put that sticky note together. To help new posters here.
Help yourself and others by trying it out.

I'm located just north of you, but come down here and there to Portlandia As for what to look for in a 2007 D3 S8, here's what I would do:
1 - get a full VCDS scan
2 - a thorough PPI - check all major components
3- get service records and when/if carbon cleaning was done on the car
4 - get a warranty, if you buy it - the V10 is a heck of any engine and a real beast on the pocket, should an issue arise...there's a fellow on Audizine who spent over $25K in engine repairs!
5 - ensure you do ALL required maintenance - filters (fuel, oil, air, cabin), tranny fluid, etc...
6 - enjoy

Thank you Mister Bally. I did a quick search but did not really find any buying advice for the D3 S8. I will perform additional searches.
Thank you raj99 for some information to look for. I definitely plan to do a pre-purchase inspection with Sunset Porsche Audi to be safe.
The car does have the TPMS light on. So, it is likely the TPMS sensors will need to be replaced.
The dealer wants 28k for the car with 84k miles. Does this sound reasonable to you all?
A couple of other things. I am not sure of what all options were available beyond the B&O audio adaptive cruise and ceramic brakes. Any quick way to tell if the car has the adaptive cruise? Any other important options to look for and how to tell if the car has them?
Thanks in advance for your time and consideration guys. Hope to be an S8 owner soon if all goes well .
Best regards,
Kelly

This is how I found my trouble free A8L
Research-Patient-and-Know what you want. S8 has different engine but options are the same.

upgrades
There is the carbon fiber trim. It replaces the wood trim. It is pretty noticeable difference.
Leather upgrade will have stitching around the passenger airbag, and alcantra headliner/in the doors.
B&o is easily figured out with the silver speakers.
I forget what's the official package is called, but if it has keyless start, then you get front/rear parking aid, rearview camera.
Acc will have a extra switch on the cruise control stalk that says distance.
Solar sunroof is easily to tell as it will have a solar panel in the sunroof.
I think I got them all. Happy buying
