this is my first post on audiworld.com. Does anyone know if it's possible to change the leather steering wheel and gear **** to a wood steering wheel & gear **** on a 2008 A8L?

Yes, they are interchangeable. Air bag has to fit the shape.

That depends on DIY-er It is fairly easy. Somebody posted very nice instructions recently. He was replacing light switch but steering wheel has to come off in the process.

Hmmm, I may hold off on this for the time being.

I did go ahead and purchase my first A8L over the weekend. It's a 2008 with 72k.

Wow.... what a car. I've been driving a 94 Honda accord up to this, so you can imagine

the difference.

I am truing to find a wood steering wheel for my A4 Convertible 2007. I was able to find the gear shift... anyone knows where I find the steering wheel? Thank you

Audi dealer parts department. Automotive recyclers, ebay, craigslist.

There's an S8 wood steering wheel on ebay, around 500 or so. Buying it from audi usually makes no sense, the prices are astronomical.
