Air struts and control arms
The time has come to replace the air struts on my 2006 A8. For those that have not done theirs yet, I recommend that you get upper control arms too. It is the perfect time to replace them. No messing around trying to tighten bolts while the car is on the ground. Just remove the arms one at a time from the strut mount after you have pulled the strut and install the new one while matching the height of the other arm. Takes 5 minutes assuming you have an impact wrench. I will replace the lower arms after I get the new struts installed. My original arms weren't that bad but why not replace them? 10 years and 110,000 miles takes it's toll. All in all, I should be good for another 10 years.
