Wow hats off to your tech genius, Shamoye! You and Louis should open a shop in Nashville, and you can use my car as a demo!

I am on such old software people are freaked. Starts with a ZERO. Don't have time to find a pic now but I have a couple new update discs (four?) but nogo. I need one really old disc I think to get to the next (3370 IIRC) if it's even possible. My car was built in August 2003 IIRC (and I prolly don't). Dealer says impossible, but they are SFB at Audi Nashville in my experience... unless you're blessed with unlimited funds.
I still love the car, though.

Louis and I like to push stuff to the limit.... I don't think we think anything is impossible.... just takes time and thinking.... I do have some updates to this but between me working and other stuff I just finally finished this over the week end..

You could always get a used mmi head unit with the updated software if you are really desperate to upgrade but cannot get disks for your ancient version.

Got some time to get back to this and will be done in a week, have to remove LCD to change the touch controller to on more sensitive but hey.....

Do you have links to the equipment you used like the screen panel and controller. I'm interested in doing something similar.

how did you interface the video. is it direct in with a module between control head and mmi screen on lvds or is it connected to auxiliary input?

I would like to use the auxiliary input on my car as I have TV tuner from factory already.

Not the safest method but old versions of the MMI update software can be found on the internet. You'll have to download them and burn them to a disc but it can be done. My D3 had really old software and that's what I had to do. I might even have the files on my PC somewhere if you want me to look.

Give me a week for full updates been wrapped up over the holidays and work...
but I have made lots of changes since initial setup, everything is now built into a custom din box that goes into the glove box next to the CD Changer, canbus controlled, steering wheel controls, touch control, voice command etc
