best method to change power steering fluid?

+1 The local Audi dealer uses the Mitey Vac. They said that when they tested the Mitey Vac, there was no oil left in the pan. They pulled the pan plug and nothing came out.

I have a bit over 100k miles on mine and my power steering fluid looks and smells great. No evidence of overheating at all.
I am wondering if the root cause isn't the operator. I never turn the steering wheel to it's stops. I know that holding the steering wheel to it's stops (on older Audis) stresses the pump and presumably overheats the oil as well. I know Audi changed the hydraulic oil spec over the years and that the hydraulic oil in my 2006 is now synthetic and a bit thicker than the oil used in older Audis.
