My Nobel 2s have about 10K miles and look good with even ware. I too tried the Conti DWS for the longer tread life, but couldn't get use to the loud thud sound they made going over the numerous expansion joints of the So California freeways. Brought them back within the trial period for full credit. Went with a 2nd set of Handkook EVOs and while the ride and handeling is fantastic only 20K miles. I am surprised you're only getting 20+K miles on your DSW as you noted they are rated to 50K miles. I suspect you have a warranty claim situation if you choose to pursue.

I am very happy with the Nobel2 as the ride characteristics are very similar to the EVOs and have twice the tread life rating. Fingers crossed!

Well thanks for the reviews guys. I only have like 20 miles on the second set I swapped out and I still have the noise like I have an unevenly worn tire. I have dual pane glass and still can hear it. Should I give them more time to wear or swap out again for a different brand? I don't expect this from a top quality tire manufacturer. I think it's because it's a high performance all season and not really built for comfort. I just need a comfort all season tire. I bought a new set Michelins in the past and not once ever had noise the first day I had them.

Similar noise can come from a wheel bearing or even differential.

I've had good luck with Pirellis.
I have on P6s right now.

It's a good durable tire that handles well and rides well.

Incidentally I'm NOT a fan of hankook. I had them on my A8 and they performed well enough but I only got just under 12,000 miles from them.

I guess i'm old school but I expect my sedan's tires to get a little more than 12k miles especially at the price the charge.

I, too, bought the Hankooks. VERY surprised they are super loud on anything but the smoothest road. They truly roar. Don't understand it. Tires seem to be balanced fine. I can't stand them and expected them to be quiet like everyone says.

i had yoko advan S4 for 3/4 yrs and 40k on my former D3.
liked them a lot. i think they have changed to a newer version however.

Yes, it was. My experience seems to go against everything I've read about this tire. Yes it corners and grills well. Noise-over the top roaring loud!

I currently have a pair of Hankook Nobel S2 and a pair of EVO 12s and they are both extremely quiet on all road types. I am very fussy about tire ride quality and if they were noisy they would be replaced. Tire Rack survey supports the low noise from many, many users.

However the Perrilli P7 is getting incredibly high ratings and something you may want to consider. See Tire Rack as its the highest rated tire i've seen...
