Blown Door Speaker B&O D3 S8
Does anyone have any insight into replacing what I believe to be a blown door speaker in my 2008 S8? B&O system. Has anyone had to replace one of these speakers? Any idea of what the cost will be? Should I take it to a dealer or to an audio specialist? The rattle is driving me crazy. It's only mid to heavy bass that makes the speaker rattle. Any insight would help a lot. Thanks for reading.

Just swap it out for a new one from an online dealer, or used unit off eBay. Taking the door card off to get access to the speaker module is straight forward DIY if you have access to a shop manual like ElsaWin or Bentley.

Easy to replace yourself.
Front door card has only one screw above the storage compartment (in the "roof" of the storage compartment way in, you can notice a notch in the storage area "roof" where the screw sits.
rear door cards are held by 2 torx tx25 screws, one above the storage compartment (in the "roof" of the storage compartment way in again, you can notice a notch in the storage area "roof" where the screw sits) and the other tx25 screw behind the tweeter (at least BOSE system)
After removing screw(s) you just pull the door card from the bottom HARD and it will come loose when the automatic retainers loosen themselves. You need to pull REALLY hard like a grown big mans full force with your 4 fingers (not the tumb of course), like 40-70lbs(20-30kg) and DON'T do it when the door card is cold, should be room temperature to come off easily. It WILL sound bad when it comes loose, tough only things you can break are the 1$ retainers that can be bought online. Then there's the inner door handle cable that comes off, a cable for the door panel electrics and another for the tweeter.
Speaker is bolted with a fixing plastic plate to the aluminium inner card by 4 torx screws and to the fixing plate with again surprise 4 screws. One electrical connector only to remove after removing the door card tweeter cable from the speaker.
