Lift it from the left side.

Attached are two pictures that may help. The dead pedal (footrest) has a T40 that needs to be removed.

One more question.

If I'm willing to live without the blue tooth capability will just unplugging the module solve the issue of my radio and Nav volume cutting in and out, and if so will it throw a code on the dashboard?

You need optic loop to connect optic bus.

+1 with Misha,

But what makes you think it is the BT module causing the sound to go out on the NAV and radio, do you have a scan ?

.

I meant to ask what exactly are the symptoms but I forgot.

If BT module is broken MMI won't start at all. It would just keep clicking from the back seat.

Symptoms:

Sound from radio, CD player and Nav goes out every 20 seconds for about 2 seconds. When this happens there are 2 distinct clicking sounds.

Other threads pointed these symptoms to the Blue Tooth Module.

I do not have VAG .

(When car was in shop for Suspension Compressor {See Horrible Noise...} issue they were supposed to diagnose this, but the service guy never entered it into the work sheet...)

Sounds like it's time to find a new shop.

VCDS scan is the way to go. This sounds like Component Protection more than Bluetooth Module.
