A/C Blower not Working

I have an 03 a8l with the solar sun roof. Is my blower not blowing due to the solar relay switch or some other issue. I have read it could be but can't find any relays in any location that people have said it would be. Passenger right kick panel is only fuses and under dash has nothing. Where should I look? Or am I even on the right track?

In all fairness, he could still be in the right place if it's a European model year. Whenever people have a solar sunroof and lose a blower around here, it does always seems to be because the blower motor went out from the extra use.

Not sure which recent poster owns, but if D3 expect it is probably the HVAC blower itself from the repeated posts and then confirms by owner it was fixed with a new blower..
From having owned a 2000 C5 A6 with a solar roof that was likely similar to the D2, the blower did not necessarily fail outright but developed noises, more often when very cold (like freezing in winter). If so, replace blower. The switching relay/electronics were on the underside of the roof panel itself and you pulled the roof upholstery back that covered it to get at it. It was not sold as a separate part IIRC. You could test with a voltmeter and car in sun to see if the roof itself was outputting power at the electrical connector pins between the roof panel and the sunroof cut out opening. Explained in Bentley. On my C5 either the panel or the control board failed , and I eventually found a used parts seller who would sell me just the glass panel (with the board) and not the whole cassette/sunroof frame with it. Made shipping more reasonable. Too many years ago now to remember any more than that.

Hello,
Today is the second day my AC blower would not start after leaving my Q7 parked outside during the day. It starts fine in morning coming out of my garage but after being parked outside in the sun it shuts down shortly after starting the car. The obvious fault from VCDS "Open or Short to Plus...", can anyone help with whether this is a fuse issue on or something else? Tomorrow I am Going to pull the glove compartment to check the blower operation. Thanks in advance

Sounds to me like the blower motor needs brushes. Time to either change the brushes or change the motor.

Follow-up on this issue, after a week of working fine, the blower motor started doing the same thing (turning off after coming online), end up replacing the blower motor with a new one (Amazon - TYC 700262 Replacement Blower Assembly).
