Default Can D4 wheels accommodate D3 TPMS sensors?

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of getting a set of D4 20" 10 spokes from a fellow member and have already found some posts regarding the hub centric rings required (66.56mm to 57.1mm) with a link to an eBay listing ..thanks once again Mishar. My question is since the D4's use a totally different TPMS system, does anyone know if a set of D3 sensors will fit these wheels?

Thanks,
Scott

Not without having them milled.

D4 uses indirect TPMS via the ABS sensors so there is nothing in the wheel.

Sorry guys but I must disagree this time. I have those wheels with sensors and there was no problem fitting them directly.

Thanks for posting your experience Mishar, that's great to hear. I'm going to do a search to find sensors for the new wheels (car came with blizzaks, gonna use the new set-up for next season) if I decide to buy them, any suggestions? Also want to put a sensor in the spare, which btw is a 18" fat 5 star wheel with a 255/45/18 tire. Would you know what psi it should be stored at? I was surprised to see that as the spare, didn't think that wheel could clear the S8 brakes but it definitely looks like it has been used before and it fits nice and snug in the trunk spare storage area.

Thanks,
Scott

Interesting.
I wonder if that particular wheel is also used on a vehicle with the old style TPMS ?

Had that set up on my M3, way better than TPMS imo.
