Default Car Shakes during accelerations, stops and while idling

This past weekend for the first time I let my gas tank get really low. Not sure if it's related to my issue, just thought I'd mention. Later that day I notice my car would shake/vibrate during low speeds, stops and accelerations. The shakes stop when I let off of the accelerator. This is a very heavy/solid car, I'm not use to it moving at all. It shakes (rocks) like an old Chevy or something. Feels like it could be fuel related or maybe a MAF issue from what I've read on here. Any advice would be highly appreciated. And should I not drive it until I can get in at the dealer or repair shop?

Also my gas cap release decided to stop working during that visit at the pump. I hear a click, but it doesn't open. I had to manually open it from the trunk. No big deal I guess.

You probably answered your own question
Try new fuel filter first ?

You may have sucked up the dregs at the bottom of the tank and plugged the filter. I can't say I've seen that on a newer car before, but that's about all I got for problems after running low on gas. If you haven't changed that filter before, it's good to do anyway, so I'd start with that, as Storka says.

Could be many things. VCDS scan first as always. Replacing fuel filter won't hurt, but I don't think that it will help either.

Yes, try fuel filter and a bottle of Techron. Yes on scan too.

Also, look at motor mounts, especially the torque mount that is farthest forward on US passenger side near corner of motor. If shaking more than seems reasonable, a hunch is that may have failed. Look for a crack around it and brown oil residue that leaks out and downward.

Dropped my car off last Wednesday at the Indie Shop that saved me thousands last year when Audi was trying to replace my entire front suspension when only the right strut need replacing.

They ending up replacing 8 spark plugs, 2 valve cover gaskets and an ignition coil. I got them to recharging my AC. Spent about 800$ total. Not bad for someone you owned 2 Cadillacs in the past, I was spending that every other month.

All and all my baby is back purring like a kitten. The AC is ice cold. I'm happy. Me and my girl took a trip in this 100 degree Louisiana heat this past weekend, she loves it.
