It's worth $20 bucks tho, and they have a tutorial somewhere or instructions at the least on the site or in the store where the app is.
After you enabled the hidden menu with Carista how did you get the menu to display on the screen? Can you explain what " restart required" means?
As for the windows, enable them with Carista and then go to your MMI settings and look for a new option for windows. You have to enable this feature through the MMI

Default Hidden Menu

Can someone describe exactly how to bring up the hidden menu on the MMI screen after it is enabled in Carista? Including the reset required statement next to the enabling line. Thanks

Hold setup and car and it should pop up. As far as the Windows, I've tried everything. Still nothing.

Just bought module to reset the service display. Did you ever purchase the Carista module and able to reset the display?

Default Any updates with this???

Has the full scan been fixed?

Has the rear brake release been added?

Also, can you use this to set the acoustic park assist to default to always on?

Thanks,

Mark

Yes, the full scan has been fixed (a long time ago). Please let us know if you run into any issues with that.

Rear brake service has been added in the beta and is still being tested. Feel free to give it a try (for free). Email support@caristaapp.com if interested.

About the acoustic park assist: can you explain? What do you mean by always on? Like even when you're just driving in traffic?

Most cars with this feature default to an on position, requiring you to hit the corresponding button to deactivate. The A8 defaults to off and only comes on when you put the car in reverse. When in a parking lot or pulling into a garage, you need to hit the button to activate the system. So, it would be nice to have it default to always on when the car is running. Let me know if you have anymore questions regarding this.

Thanks,

Mark
