This is the ultimate car. Owned this D3 for almost 5 years and I'm still astounded and learning new things about it with 90,000 miles. First car I haven't grown tired of. She's still powerful, quick and smooth. The Bose still sounds better than most car systems coming out in 2015. Loud, powerful, rich and full of deep bass.

She looks good dirty and looks even better clean. The factory 19 inch fan style wheels still look modern and are some of the best factory wheels on a car. I still find myself looking back at her after I park in a parking lot and parking away from others.

The sleek lines yet long broad mass of this car makes a statement standing still or turning a corner. No one notices an A4, or an A6 of the same generation even though they have the same front grill. Yet the D3 A8, people can't help but take notice of the wide front face/mouth with those daytime running lights.

I just spent $3500 on this A8L with routine maintence and a couple of issues at an independent shop and I don't even care because I'd spend it again. This car is just that good.

And oh boy, when I clean her up real well, look out, I know I'm driving the best car on the road. The baby Bentley.

Yep, often get compliments. Oddly, this year (even though I have not 100% detailed the car yet!) I have been getting more love with people actually waiting at my car parked to talk to me about it.

I really don't get a lot of looks, and when I do it only tends to be from bmw's and mercedes. Maybe I don't pay enough attention to notice?

Default True story

At son's soccer game there were a number of nice cars (including a couple of Maseratis, three (!) Ferraris, 6 (!!) Porsches (including a brand new 911 Turbo S convertible), and two Audis. One RS7 and our W12.

A kid come running to his dad - "Dad! The Transporter car is here!!". Priceless.

I get lots of compliments... especially when it is lower than you see here. In Dynamic mode it looks pretty sweet.
