Door Handle alarm that alerts you to someone attempting to open your Audi
Does anyone know if there is there a way to have audi built in alarm activated when someone attempts to open the car by lifting exterior door handle?
Thanks

Do you have VCDS? In Comfort & Convenience, I saw an option labelled for Europe, tamper function or something along those lines. I'll try to find it again.
It was the first line on a page of coding options

I do have VCDS, however I am still a novice at it, I will research more about comfort and convenience options. Thanks for giving me direction.

Stumbled across it while fuming about my VCDS not updating because Win-Duhs' convoluted, archaic, positively MASOCHISTIC "Network Wizard(s)" not letting my garage XP PC connect to my new gateway - even with the friggin 1394 cable! Tamper alarm @ Ross-tech wiki

Did you see the link in my post above? I stumbled upon the coding for the tamper alarm feature again yesterday, I think i'll set it up on my cars since the alarm sirens are FUBAR and I'm not all that worried about theft. The siren does not control the activation of the alarm; while it's unplugged, the alarm activates silently and does work.
With the Tamper feature if someone tries the door and it's locked, they'll see the flashers going and think the next step is the siren - and therefore flee. Better than the actual alarm IMO. False alarms are a non-event, and I would not want the alarm siren/horn to sound if I forgot the car was locked and I or my kids tried the door!
