Enable keyless entry while car running
Is there any way to make the keyless entry work while the car is running? Either through vag com or rewiring something? I know it's possible on some of the older audis, not sure on this one.
I have the standard switchblade key for what it's worth.

I've often wondered the same thing since I have theyless start. I would love to start my car in the winter and let it warm for a few minutes with the doors locked

Mine does this... is it not normal? I've done it a few times at work when it's -10 outside. There's a ton of cameras in the parking lot, but it certainly adds to peace of mind.

They cost roughly the same as your keyless starting systems, can be started with a cell-phone app, and you get all kinds of gadgets for these like week-timer, separate remote control etc.
I just can't understand why you start your cars at -20degrees there without heating... jeez, wouldn't even cross my mind to do that to my car.
Another thing I don't even understand, why hasn't there been a factory option for engine fuel-pre-heaters in the US. They are standard on ALL A8 models in europe and rest of the world...
And to the topic itself, tried yesterday on my friends 2005 4,0TDI with keyless. Was only able to lock it with the MECHANIC lock from the driver's door, not with keyless buttons or remote.
Havent tried my 2008 W12 yet.

Part of the reason is that here, we use air conditioning in 49 out of 50 states. To run the air conditioner, the engine has to run to power the A/C compressor. The engine heater is only good for half of the requirement so most opt for a remote starter. Plus, our gasoline is cheaper her. Really cheap for the moment as the Middle East is trying to kill our oil companies.
