Default Success

Ok I've finally completed this job.It turned out that the strut was bad. They sent me replacement and everything thing was good. My initial issue were the valve block and faulty drivers side strut. I ultimately replaced both struts, valve block, and rebuilt my compressor (while I had it broken down) hopefully no issues for a while. Cost me $900 for two sruts, $160 for valve block and $50 to rebuild compressor. Thanks to everyone for guidance.

So both the valve block and the strut went out?

Will,
For my future needs, how diss you get the air compressor rebuilt?
That seems a very reasonable price for the rebuild.
I am waiting to pick mine up the afternoon. The ground effect JE Design sides and rear have developed hairline cracks. Had a local shop refinish and fix a couple speed bump rashes. The previous owner must have either had large speed bumps, curbs, or ditches to cross.

Be careful with that rebuilt kit. Piston ring must be shaped as a sphere segment not as a cylinder. Material is another problem. It looks inexpensive but if it lasts just a few days/weeks it is expensive.

When I said rebuilt I was referring to ring and gasket. The kit was reasonable and the job was extremely easy. It would not have changed your issue but I had ordered kit so I figured I should do it all now rather than later.
