All I can say is, WOW. This is my first Audi, but I was expecting a bit more drama than I found--and I'm running Conti DWS all seasons, not snow tires. This car handles snow as well or better than my truck does. Took several unplowed/fairly deep snow roads and unless I got really squirrelly with the throttle, it was planted and competent.

Found a train station parking lot that I know has no curbs and was wide open and I turned off the ESP and had some fun--you really need to drive aggressively to get it to slide and break, and even then it's incredibly controllable and poised. I would feel confident driving this car through anything up to 6-8 inches on the ground no problem.

So where are the "action" pictures depicting all the fun you had? Down here along the Gulf Coast we are without such opportunities to experience the winter wonders. But back when I lived in Chicago, we'd exploit the snowfalls -- and after you turn off the traction control, drive backwards and then crank the wheel. Much more fun than going forward!

Stay safe regardless of direction (and spin) of travel.

Hard to shoot action pics when you are the only one in the car
