Default Fuel Door Open Light

Hi All,

Couple of questions, my A8 doesn't show the fuel door open warning light even if the door is left open (found this out the other day when I accidentally hit the button)

What is the coding to turn this back on, I have looked but cannot find where.

Also, is it possible in a pre-facelift car to have what gear it is in displayed on the screen while the car is in D?

Cheers,

Mike

No fuel door warning either on my 2005, nor gear display can be set to show gear when in D.

It must be available, there is a picture of it in the owners manual.

Not on my 2006 W12 either, with virtually every known option at the time.

But it would be nice to have it. I saw many cars driving around with fuel flap lid opened.

Both my MY2006 and 2008 W12 have gear displays, but my friends pre-facelift 2005 4,0TDI doesn't have.

I think it depends on the instrument cluster software, not the coding, because the coding options don't list a gear indicator, only like country variant, TPMS, illumination and such options:

Any tip with coding to reactivate this?

I suspect if was lost when the software was all updated.
