You can add a 4 wire resistive touchscreen over the current display. Then use a USB controller directly into the phone, or add a Bluetooth touch controller. 2 companies make the Bluetooth controller, one only works on and 4.1 and prior, and doesn't support the product any more; the other company isn't very reliable on shipping but has a decent product.

I haven't actually set up the system yet, only did the research. But you buy a new mmi media interface box that includes the video input. You can also get them with android built in and airplay/screen mirror. Same mmi interface, but you press nav twice to cycle through all the aux inputs.
Sorry, that was probably for the OP, but I think cars with aux in, you just press aux.

Hello All,
I am not sure if the questions are for me, or the comments made by TStealth32.....
As 05's did not come with RVC, and TV tuners are not available as factory equipment in the USA, I first back in 2012 retro fitted a Euro OEM TV tuner and MMI control head with FABS input, which allowed me to play what ever was playing on the factory rear seat entertainment system to be displayed on the front MMI screen, this setup also allowed for all the audio to be played through the Bose system, I then went on to retro fit the OEM RVC system which also has the brown TV in port, and as the TV Tuner is all plug and play and gives three set of composite video (2 in, 1 out) and RCA audio for all ins and outs, with me adding a RCA switching box with trigger, I had many different options of what went on either display, I even can have the rear seats show the RVC on screen, on my vehicle I still have all MMI function, I just press the CD button once for CD, a second time for TV (which "TV" in non functional here in the states as analog is long gone, and the digital side of the hybrid OEM tuner I purchased does not support the format of the US's digital standard of ATSC) press a third time for A/V-1 input of the S5, and a forth time for A/V-2 input of DVD, or what ever you want to input.
this is how it started.......
