Brake light switch
Hi chaps,
I just changed my brake light switch as I had the ESP light coming back regularly a few times a week. So i changed the switch with an aftermarket switch but now the light has come back. I have since read that there maybe a certain procedure you need to follow like pushing the brake pedal down to set the plunger etc. Is this true or do I just need to get an original one from the dealer?
Thanks

Have you ran vcds codes? A bad steering angle sensor also causes the same fault light.

ok thanks i'll get the OEM one.
Yea I have run the VCDS. i'll do it again today and post the scan as i didn't save it because it always comes back and thought the switch would solve the problem.
thanks
