Glad you are ok. Sorry for your loss. You should take this opportunity to test drive a 4.0t A8.

Glad you're ok, but I fear your car is totaled. Looks like damage to almost every panel, and the rear frame is almost certainly twisted. Bummer.

Will be interesting to see what you think of the Big Benz. A TT S550 is probably a fair bit quicker than your S8 is/was. Although it is interesting that you got a previous gen s-class (W221) from the insurance company. Rental firms tend to not hang on to their cars for long and the w221 was discontinued in 2013.

A TT V12 is even more so.

Shouldn't he be concerned about that truck insurance?

Ugh. That is indeed horrible. Good thing you are ok, but the pain of losing that car runs deep.

So in Michigan, if someone runs a stop sign and hits your car (like in this thread). It's considered "no one is at fault" even though the other driver clearly ran a stop sign and caused the accident?

I"m sure I'm understanding this wrong. Can you please explain?

Pretty much sums it up. No matter who is at fault; the car owner's insurance pays to fix the car owner's car. If the OP had no collision insurance and his car is totalled, he can get scrap value or part it out and either bike, walk or shake the money tree for another car.
If the other person is at fault, you can sue for a mini-Tort against the other driver for like a whopping $500.00 which is better than nothing.

It is a ****ty regulation for sure. Our rates are ridiculous because of this.
