Default head wrecked

i updated the software to 5150 about 3 weeks ago ,all went smooth apart from dsp in component protection (left side only}, so treated myself to new fbas control head and tv tuner and all the stuff to fit it ,installed it all today and was working but sw was 2140 and optical display for parking had gone, so i updated the mmi only with the discs i used before xmas to 5150 and now have no sound at all or no optical parking display either. managed to get the adaptive suspension display working thou but still no sound at all. checked with vcds and control head showing component protection still as before so should have at least left channel ? if i update to 5170 will i get sound back and optical display ? or am i missing something in the settings . cheers
