Evening all,

After four years of ownership i'm finally selling the A8. I've already purchased a replacement DD and am trying to appropriately price mine. I've checked NADA/KBB/Edmunds and the pricing seems to be all over the road. Based on the sites i'm somewhere in the $12-14k range. Not sure if that's too low/high? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Brief synopsis:

'06 A8 SWB Black/Black
89k miles
over 4k in service receipts this past year (T-Belt/Water Pump/etc)
Sport and Premium packages
21" MTM wheels

I realize there's a relatively small market for the car, especially being a SWB model.

For my location, your 12-14k range seems about right. But, you'll also have to sit on it to find the right buyer. To sell it quickly, $10k.

If I spend 4k servicing a car in just 1 year, but im keeping that sucker and driving it at least a few more years.

The majority of the servicing was the T-Belt/Water Pump. I was lucky enough to pick up a Bentley Continental GT so the A8 is just an extra vehicle now.

Not to rub salt in the wound, but a 06 A8 4.2 complete T/B service is anywhere from $1800.00 to $2200.00 in my area, I hope you spent the other $1800 on other things.....

Keep in mind Audi dealer labor rates vary between $90.00 and $200.00/hr in the US. More in Canada.

Hello Louis,

How have you been, I was watching your fog light video and caught your home video with family dinner, you have a beautiful family, it's nice to see a dad at the dinner table!!!

As far as the Bentley, I completely broke the vehicle down to the shell, cleaned every crevice and all surfaces, even waxed the firewall, I have issues, I sealed and painted interior as shown, and I am replacing the complete wiring harness, every module, front seat frames, switching red leather onto new seat frames, so every piece of electronics from trunk to outside of firewall, all the window regulators and modules, I have even added soft close doors, it will have push start/stop advanced key also, and power open/close trunk, all the things a 05 did not have, it's been slow, but I will have it right, PLUS I had to find and completely break down the parts car, and I mean break down every piece, as all un-needed parts have or are being sold, I sold the rear clip (body shell), door panels, spare and jack with tool kit and more, soon I will have my parts for free, well almost.......
