Why do my interior door handles require two pulls to unlatch the door? Can this be changed to one pull, if so how. I should say the front doors as I haven't tried the rear. I have searched the forum and read the owners manual but can't find any info/

I think that the first pull unlocks the door, and the second actually opens it. I know some BMWs and VWs have this same feature as well. It's an annoying "safety feature", but I've gotten used to it.

First pull unlocks the door, second opens it.

If pulling it twice is to much work for you, then disable the auto lock feature.

Answers above are correct. But if you press the stop button twice it will shut off and unlock the doors.

It's one of those things you just start doing and forget about.
