Labor cost of to REPLACE FRONT UPPER CONTROL ARMS

Did you check upper control arms to be sure they are in good shape?
If so, proceed to alignment. If not, fix them first or you are just building in the wear issue into your alignment, and would need to repeat it w/ a control arm bushing clean up. "When, not if" on D3 front upper control arm bushings--commonly at well under 100K miles.

As a follow up to Mishar's comments, this is a 3 hour job in your home garage and about a 2 hour job for a shop. This should not cost more than $500 at the most expensive repair facility for labor on upper control arms unless they are completely rusted on. The longest part of the labor at the home garage is jacking up the car and taking the tires off.

+1 the arms themselves should never go bad. The bushings on the other hand are a joke on this car. Same bushings that are used on an A4... Seem to be bad after about 30-40k. I had a shop do mine when I was ignorant and paid some crazy number like $5-600 or something. Getting the arms out isn't difficult, putting them back in isn't difficult. Just need either a shop press or some other method to pop out the old bushings and the new ones in their place. More labor than anything as the bushings cost less than $20. The arms should be just fine though. Include an alignment into the cost.
