Hi guys! Glad I found this forum. I just bought an 06 A8 with premium and sport package, 4.2, 50k miles.
Still trying to figure out all the bells and whistles...seems like a complicated car.
I'm going to replace the failing sunroof deflector motor (already have the part) and the trunk motor, which is starting to fail.
Two things have me stumped..the sunroof opens and closes fine and swiftly, but I have to press the button several times to tilt. I don't think it's a problem with the button, as I hear a relay click each time I press, but it only tilts after several attempts...could this be related to the failing deflector?
Also, with regards to the bluetooth/mm system...how do I program it to recognize my voice prompt to dial a name in the phonebook? Not sure if I'm explaining this well, but I want to push the voice prompt button on the steering wheel, say a name and have it dial...make sense?
Lastly, if you guys have any input on known issues, or things I absolutely must check, or maintain on this 06 at this mileage, I would appreciate it (and yes, I have searched the forum &#128521

Congratulations on the purchase, being an 06 you should be aware that you have a timing belt that will need changing soon, especially if it hasn't been done at 50K miles. No insight from me regarding the sunroof, but the voice recognition is not the best, remember this is 2005 technology and so the names would have to be short clear names for it to be easily recognized. Good luck and post pictures of the vehicle.
