My A8 have suddenly problems, I made a journey of 125km, parked the car and came back after 20min and started the car and it was running but cluster dead. After 5 km I went out of the car again and came back after 5 min. car start and die after 2 seconds, cluster still dead. Engine start but don't run because immobilizer box get no power I suppose.

Booth only to open with key. Xenons burn without key so I hat to pull the fuses to save my battery. Alarm Leds in the door flashing but I cannot lock the car.

The fuses on left side show some water corrosion, I pulled all and clean them. 6 months befor I have water leak problem from my sunroof, i opend that time the drains by a wire and they flush again. After the car was function without problem, only my MMI panel is not function 100% but I don't care so much.

Somebody an idea whats wrong ? maybe J519 gives a problem.

Diagnostic scan is mandatory to start an investigation. Any chance you have a 2nd key/fob to try out?

D3 A8's can do a lot of weird things when the main battery is discharged. It may appear many systems have issues, only to find it is a more basic battery fault. If your battery is more than 4-5 years old, it is fair to assume it may now be faulty and need replacement. At least getting it fully charged first will help diagnose.

+1 on the diagnostic scan, but your mention of what sounds like quite extensive past water damage to the electrics is I suspect still haunting you. There is corrosion in the electrics somewhere that's probably now got to a critical point to cause this problem.

So, it's been 12 months since the issue started and it visited a dealer at some point? And no follow up below about even basic stuff concerning the battery (car should be about on its third one by now), let alone scan?

Net, I don't follow and why 12 months passes in between. The other power (battery) management thread/post makes it more a guessing game. Again the pointer to that area was right here from me a year ago. Please explain more the history, current issues, where you are on looking at obvious stuff like battery and its age, etc.

Without a scan and for anything beyond the battery, 99% chance you are wasting your time. No one can tell you magically, oh that's the standard flux inverter problem with the 2y 3x prime variant and you just order part z and all is good.

Gateway is not broken as some moduls are still accessable and report no problems.

Car was 4 months in my garage and din't have time to look at it, then I bring the car to Audi dealer and stand there for atleast 6 months and if they have time they look at the car. Because I din't want to spent big $$$ cash.

Now the car is back and have more time to get it running again.
I'm Duracell automotive dealer and battery no issue, easy to swap for me and prog a new BEM code.

(PS, I advice to use a AGM gell battery if some components not to want go sleep )
